Yagyu-no-sato or the swordsman village of Yagyu, known as
the home of Yagyu Shinkage-Ryu (traditional style of swordsmanship),
is located in Northeast of Nara-city with rich natural environment.

Muneyoshi Sekishusai Yagyu demonstrated Mutou dori
(offensive tactics without sword) to Ieyasu Tokugawa and served him as
an instructor of the art of war later.

Munenori Tajimanokami Yagyu became a feudal lord
with 12,500 koku (volume of rice) at his peak period and also worked
as an important post of Ohmetsuke or inspector-general.

◆Access <Car>

 ・Approximately 20 minutes from the Meihan National Highway
  (Exist at [ Hari Interchange ]: 17 km to north on the National Highway 369)


 ・From Osaka, approximately 30 minutes to east from the end
  of the second Hanna toll road (Hourai).
  Go straight for a while after getting off at the Interchange,
  you can find [ the sign ] as shown below.

◆Access <Train & Bus>

  From JR/Kintetsu Nara station, approximately 50 minutes by taking
  ([ Nara Kotsu bus ]: For Yagyu Oojinakamura).


◆Access <Train & Taxi>

  From JR Kansai Honsen [ Kasagi station ],approximately 15 minutes by taxi.
